1. Who We Are

This privacy policy explains how ClickSync Media SRL, trading as GridLead Media ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal data when you interact with our services.

We operate a lead generation service that connects homeowners seeking home improvement work with local contractors. This policy applies to homeowners who use our online driveway cost calculator at drivewayquotesuk.co.uk, and to contractors who use our platform. It is published on both our websites and is the same policy in each place.

2. Data We Collect

From Homeowners

When you complete our driveway cost calculator, we collect:

  • Contact information: name and phone number, and your email address if you choose to give one (it is optional)
  • Project details: postcode, driveway size, material preference, and when you are looking to start
  • Advertising data (only if you accept cookies): a Meta click identifier (fbclid) if you reached us from a Facebook or Instagram advert, and the Meta Pixel cookies _fbp and _fbc. If you decline, none of these are collected, stored or shared.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser user agent at the moment you submit the form. These are used only to send the advertising conversion event described in section 6, and only if you accepted cookies. We do not store them.

We do not ask for photographs, and the calculator has no photo upload. We do not collect special category data (such as health, ethnicity or religious belief), and you should not send us any.

From Contractors

  • Business information: business name, contact phone number, email address
  • Service details: postcodes covered, services offered, availability
  • Billing information: processed securely via Stripe (we do not store card details)

3. How We Collect Data

  • Our online calculator: the details you type into the form and submit
  • Meta advertising (only with your consent): if you arrive from one of our Facebook or Instagram adverts, the advert link carries a click identifier. With your consent we also load the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies in your browser.
  • Direct communication: when you contact us via email, phone, or our contact page

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Your estimate: to calculate and show you an indicative cost range for the driveway you described
  • Contractor matching: to pass your details to one local contractor covering your postcode, so they can contact you and arrange a site visit
  • Keeping you informed: if no contractor currently covers your postcode, to hold your details and contact you if one does in future
  • Advertising measurement (only with your consent): to report a conversion event to Meta via the Conversions API, so we can tell which adverts work. See section 6 for exactly what is sent.
  • Service improvement: to understand how the calculator is used and improve it

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases (UK GDPR Article 6):

  • Consent, for matching you with a contractor: when you submit the calculator form, you are asking us to pass your details to a local installer so they can quote for your driveway. Submitting the form is that consent. We tell you on the form itself what will be shared and with whom, before you submit it.
  • Consent, for advertising cookies and measurement: a separate and independent consent, given through the cookie banner on our calculator page. Declining it does not affect your quote in any way — you still get your estimate and your contractor match. If you decline, we set no advertising cookies, store no click identifier, and send no conversion event to Meta.
  • Legitimate interest: for keeping our service secure and working (for example, basic anti-spam measures on the form), where this does not override your rights and freedoms.
  • Contractual necessity: for contractor accounts, to fulfil our service agreement.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give — see section 8. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

  • Matched contractor: they receive your name, phone number, postcode and project details, so they can contact you and arrange a site visit. Each enquiry is shared with one contractor only. That contractor is an independent data controller for the data once they receive it: they decide how they use it to quote for your work, and their own privacy practices apply. They are required to use your details only to quote for the work you asked about.
  • Twilio Inc. (data processor): delivers your enquiry to the matched contractor over WhatsApp. This is how we reach the contractor — we do not message homeowners on WhatsApp, and your enquiry reaches us through our website form, not through WhatsApp.
  • Supabase Inc. (data processor): provides the database infrastructure where your data is securely stored.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — only if you accepted cookies: we send one conversion event per enquiry via the Meta Conversions API. It contains the event type ("Lead"), the estimated value, your click identifier and Pixel cookies, your IP address and browser user agent, and hashed versions of your phone number, email address and postcode. Hashing means Meta receives a scrambled one-way value, not the details themselves. We do not send your name or your project details. If you declined cookies, we send Meta nothing at all — no event, no identifiers.
  • Stripe Inc. (data processor): processes contractor payments. No homeowner data is shared with Stripe.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit
  • We retain your enquiry and project details for up to 90 days after your last interaction, after which they are anonymised
  • Your IP address and browser user agent are used only at the moment of submission and are never stored
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data
  • Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent: stop us from processing your data at any time
  • Object: object to processing based on legitimate interest

To exercise any of these rights, email us at cristian@gridleadmedia.com. We will respond within 30 days. Please note that if we have already passed your details to a contractor, you may also need to contact them directly, as they hold their own copy as an independent controller — tell us and we will give you their details.

To withdraw your consent to advertising cookies: clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings, then reload our calculator page — the cookie banner will appear again and you can decline. We will stop setting cookies and stop sending conversion events to Meta from that point. You can also email us and we will action it for you.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We set no cookies unless you agree to them. Our informational pages (home, contact, this policy) set no cookies at all. Our driveway cost calculator shows a banner asking whether you accept advertising cookies; until you choose, nothing is set, and rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting.

If you accept, we load the Meta Pixel, an advertising measurement tool from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It sets the cookies _fbp (a browser identifier) and _fbc (recording which advert you clicked), and we store the click identifier from the advert link for the duration of your visit. We also send the server-side conversion event described in section 6.

If you decline, no Pixel is loaded, no cookies are set, no click identifier is kept, and no event is sent to Meta. The calculator works identically either way.

We use no other tracking: no Google Analytics and no advertising networks beyond Meta. Our calculator page loads its fonts and scripts from our own servers, so before you accept it makes no request to any other company at all. We record your choice alongside your enquiry so that we can demonstrate what you agreed to.

This applies to every page we run, not just the calculator: our home, contact and privacy pages serve their stylesheet and fonts from our own servers too, so simply reading this policy discloses nothing about you to anyone else.

10. Children's Data

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
